I always imagined myself with a certain life and that didnt happen.
I pictured myself finishing high school, going onto uni, moving in to a house with my best friend.
I am now 22 and my life went the complete opposite. I had trouble in school with bullying so I changed schools. After I changed schools I got kicked out of home by my mother who abused me my whole life. Moved in with my dad and his new wife saw me as an intruder and caused so many problems my dad kicked me out. Moved in with my aunty and basically became her cinderella and was expected to do all the chores, cooking, cleaning basically everything and was told I had to “earn” my place of living there. Moved into a hostel but didnt find a place to live in 8 weeks so they kicked me out, moved into share accommodation but the guy kicked me out as I wasnt social enough, another share accommodation and he defaulted on the rent and I found out he was using all my money to pay for drugs, finally found a rental and the house burnt down while I was on a week holiday and I lost everything.
My life is finally on track, I have a rental, lots of belongings, a well paying job although I hate my job, a boyfriend I have been with for 5 years but I cant help looking back with anxiety, regret and wanting a whole nother life. I look at school kids and just want that so badly. I want to go back to school, experience the school environment again, go to the classes, have the lunch break. Am I looking at it like a fantasy fairytale or is this just what im desiring? I dont want to go back to tafe as its not the same.
I found a tafe where I can do my high school online but I just dont want to do it online. I want to go to classes, make new friends, interact with the teachers but obviously paying rent I just cant afford to do this. How can you afford to study full time while affording rent, bills etc? Back in the day I didnt see my school life as that great, I was depressed and always angry, so why am I now desiring this so much?
I look back on my life and feel massive amounts of anxiety. Its like when you want something so bad it hurts and makes you feel sick inside like a desire to win the lottery or something.
Why am I feeling this way and how do I just accept this is the way things are?
There are so many kids who go to school, their parents pay for everything, they have heaps of friends and it just makes me feel envious and depressed. I feel sometimes like just committing suicide so I can start all over again.
